IVA - Insolvency Register

The Insolvency Register holds the details of all IVA and bankruptcy orders passed in the UK. Details about the IVA Insolvency Register can be found at the Government Insolvency Service website.

Details Held on the IVA Insolvency Register:

The IVA Insolvency Register contains details of:

  • Bankruptcy cases - Both current and the ones that have been completed in the last three months.
  • IVA cases - current details on IVA agreements.
  • BRO (Bankruptcy Restriction Order) - Current bankruptcy restrictions orders and undertaking.

Although an IVA is a private agreement between the debtor and their creditor, one of the IVA conditions is that their details will be listed with the Insolvency Services and on the IVA Insolvency Register. Unlike bankruptcy, no details will be published in the local or national newspapers.

Insolvency details can be searched online at the Insolvency website or at the Official Receiver’s office.
