Save 10% on your Heating Bills

Homeowners looking to save money on their energy bills will be delighted to hear that it is simple to save 10% on your heating bills, with very little effort. Simple measures, such as setting timers on radiators and checking the temperature of water heaters are ways which you can cutting the risk of utility bill arrears.

Paula Owen from the Energy Saving Trust has offered us one useful tip which could see us save as much as 10% on our heating bills. Owen advises: “Try turning your thermostat down by one degree C – you might not notice the difference, but it can cut your heating bills by ten per cent a year.”

A room which offers acceptable levels of heating should be between 18-21 degrees C, unless there are young children or elderly persons living there.
